Years before I actually started eating keto, I heard people talking about sausage balls of cheese, but I didn’t understand what was so good about them. Then one day I tasted these little balls of taste bombs, and it all made sense.

Unfortunately, many sausage ball recipes use a boxed baking mix full of carbs and processed ingredients. No thanks! I make my own with almond flour instead, and I bet, you can’t tell the difference. They are rich and smoked with small tender crumbs… perfection.

Your favorite holiday appetizer just got a better keto version. These Keto Sausage Balls are a quick and low-carb appetizer for all occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage

  • 4 ounces cream cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Combine all of the ingredients until well incorporated. It will be easier with a stand mixer.
  • Lightly spray a large baking sheet or line with silicone baking sheets.
  • Roll the sausage balls into golf ball size balls. I had 25 each.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve hot & enjoy.

Notes

  • Mix up the flavors by using spicy sausage or pepper jack cheese!
